Specialist Dental Membership

Becoming a member of the practice gives you peace of mind that you will receive the highest level of service, help when you need it and access to a range of exclusive members only offers.

As a member you will join a specific plan to meet your individual needs and all routine examinations and visits to the hygienists are covered by one simple monthly direct debit payment.

Range of Specialist Dental Plans

At Specialist Dental we are committed to preventative dentistry. All our plans are designed to help you reach optimum dental health, helping you understand how to look after the health of your mouth and keep it free from tooth decay and gum disease. Over time, patients who participate in a preventative programme of regular examination and oral hygiene visits are shown to have a much reduced need for treatment.

Plan A
Adult Maintenance

£22.50 per month

  • Two examinations and consultations per year
  • Two hygiene appointments per year
  • X-rays as clinically necessary
  • Out of hours assistance
  • UK and Worldwide dental emergency cover

Plan B

£28.75 per month

The Periodontal Payment Plans benefits are the same as the Adult Maintenance Plan but with one comprehensive dental health assessment and four hygiene appointments per year.

Plan C

£9.95 per month

Our Children’s Payment Plans is based on regular check-ups and hygiene visits to help prevent and treat decay before it causes toothache.

How do I join?

Joining the plan is very easy, simply telephone or visit the practice and we can set up a direct debit payment for you. There is no fee to join the plan and your membership will be effective immediately.

The Small Print

Membership has a minimum initial term of 12 months. If you cancel within this time, we will invoice you for the full cost of tooth whitening and any treatments discounted as a benefit from being a member (if applicable) and any appointments taken but not fully paid for. Three months notice is required to cancel thereafter. Cancellation of your Direct Debit will automatically cancel your membership.

What is covered

Hospital cash benefit Pays a benefit per night when staying overnight in hospital under the care of a dental or oral/maxillofacial surgeon.

Mouth cancer benefit A benefit payable when first diagnosed by a qualified dentist or doctor.

What is not covered
Dental injuries:
i) where the need for treatment does not become apparent within one week of the injury incident;
ii) resulting whilst participating in boxing or rugby unless appropriate mouth protection is worn.

About the Supplementary Insurance Policy

This is a brief description of your Supplementary Insurance. It does not contain the full terms and conditions. Full details of the cover applicable, benefits payable, terms, conditions and exclusions are contained within the policy document. The policy document is available from your dental practice. The Supplementary Insurance is arranged and administered by Patient Plan Direct Limited an Appointed Representative of Beaumonts Insurance Brokers Ltd which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, registration no. 306350. The insurance policy is underwritten by Hiscox Insurance Company Limited, 1 Great St Helen’s, London EC3A 6HX (registered no. 70234) which is authorised by the Financial Services Authority, FSA registration no. 113849.

What does the Policy Cover?

The Supplementary Insurance provides cover for costs incurred for temporary dental treatment as a result of a dental emergency when away from home or abroad, and cover towards the cost of permanent dental treatment following a dental injury. It also provides for the payment of out-of-hours fees when dentists are required to open their dental surgery to treat you in an emergency. There is also a hospital cash benefit payable when you are under the care of a dental or oral/maxillofacial surgeon and a cash benefit payable following the diagnosis of mouth cancer.

Policy Duration

The Supplementary Insurance is a monthly contract, which continues for as long as you continue to pay your monthly premiums.
