Smartclip™ Self-Ligating Braces are the modern choice in orthodontics. They’re computer-designed and use a special nickel-titanium metal alloy to make your treatment more comfortable, save time and give you the result you want – a beautiful new smile.
A breakthrough in orthodontic treatment and comfort.
Ordinary braces use “elastic bands” (technical name ligatures) to secure an archwire into a slot in each bracket. This is called “ligation”. The bands can become stained or stretched – requiring your orthodontist to change them. They can also retain food particles, making it more difficult to keep your braces clean. Your orthodontist will have to take these bands on and off to change or adjust the archwire during your treatment. No fun.
Smartclip™ braces are different. They don’t use ligatures to hold the archwire… they’re self-ligating. Instead of elastic bands, Smartclip braces use small metal clips to hold the archwire into the bracket.
Smartclip™ brackets are available in stainless steel.

Clarity™ SL ceramic
Clarity™ SL self-ligating braces are the choice you can feel good about. They use the latest technology, so they work fast and look good.
Self-ligating technology removes the need for ligatures, the elastic bands that were used to hold the wire in your braces. This innovation has major advantages. The Clarity SL braces design can help your teeth move faster, make your braces easier to clean and eliminate the hassle of stained elastics. You can spend less time in the doctor’s chair, and maybe even fewer visits. And because your teeth can move into a position more efficiently, your overall treatment may be shorted too.
You’ll love wearing your Clarity SL braces. They are made from high-tech ceramic with smooth, rounded edges for a comfortable fit.
Clarity SL braces are translucent, so they are less visible than metal braces.
Without ligatures to stain or hold food particles, they’re easier to keep clean.
